Was 2011 my favorite year so far? Perhaps.
The hardest? Absolutely.
I traveled – I strengthened some friendships, though others unraveled, - I became a little more beaten down – I learned SO much – I created a work of art – I finally fell out of love – I saw my parents as human and then learned to love their humanity– I proved myself as a writer – I met prisoners (many prisoners) – I made mistakes personally and professionally – I planned workshops – I taught classes – I laughed – I cried – I jammed out to Robyn and Amy and Arcade Fire – I said goodbye to people I loved – I said hello to people I have grown to love – I have conquered B2 – I have visited creeks during HOJO – performed monologues as a platypus – danced on rooftops (at home and abroad) – kissed beautiful people – created families – lost phones and id’s – drank tea with strangers – danced – designed – produced – edited - hugged – dried tears – drove - listened and heard - and so the ice slowly moved in and the year died a proud death.
